As a society we tend to overvalue outcomes and undervalue process. We pay a lot of attention when someone achieves an amazing result but don't consider the process that it took them to get there. To us they appear to be an overnight sensation.
Results are a delayed measure of daily effort.
You won't finish writing a book unless you commit to writing each page. You won't lift heavier weights unless you commit to training. You won't see the number on the scale or the inches on the tape measure decrease unless you consistently eat fewer calories than you burn.
It's important to not get caught up in the day to day numbers, thinking things should be moving faster and results should be happening quicker. Just put yourself on a good path and let those positive habits keep stacking up.
If you want better outcomes, you need to build better habits.

If you have good habits, over time those will compound. If you have bad habits, over time they will dig you a deeper hole.
I encourage you to take some time thinking about whether your current habits are leading you to the outcomes you want.
Are you getting 1% better each day?
If not, what could you be doing to get on that path where time will start compounding your results?
