Looking for a fresh start?
If things have gotten a little off track because of holidays, visiting friends - or let's face it, life in general - it might be time to reset and refocus.
This doesn't need to feel overwhelming. It’s just about returning to the basics: exercise, nutrition and self-care. Small, intentional steps that add up to BIG changes over time.

10 things you can do to reset and focus:
1️⃣ Drink more water. Aim for at least 2 liters a day. Having a glass in the morning (before coffee/tea time ☕️) is a great start.
2️⃣ Track your daily movement. Counting steps is a great way to see how active you are outside of workouts. Keeping an eye on daily/weekly averages will help you see trends over time.
3️⃣ Prioritize protein. Protein is so important to help you stay full longer and support muscle growth. Most women need about 4-6 servings per day.
4️⃣ Increase veggies. Colourful veggies and fruits fuel your body with vitamins and antioxidants. Aim for 5-6 servings each day, using big salads, soups and pre-cooked roasted winter veggies to make it easy.
5️⃣ Cut back on sugar. Put extra goodies in the freezer so they're out of sight, out of mind and turn to fruits and berries to curb sugar cravings.
6️⃣ Honour your bedtime. Consistent sleep is so key to feel refreshed and ready to go in the mornings! Walk away from the tv and put aside time to read or have a warm bath before bed.
7️⃣ Plan your meals. Planning food for the upcoming week and having consistent "go-to" meals that help you hit your targets is a game-changer. It saves so much time and energy!
8️⃣ Declutter your space. A tidy environment clears the mind and reduces stress.
9️⃣ Slow down. Make time for relaxation and recovery to avoid burnout.
🔟 Ask for support. Look to your friends, family, community or health care practioners for help when needed.
You probably won't be able to do all of these perfectly all the time. The goal is to start small and be consistent. Even one or two changes will have a compound effect and make a big difference over the course of a year.
